Challenge League Team Win the League!

Harrison Pake, Challenge League Captain

Hampshire Golf’s Challenge League side is heading to yet another League Final, our third in as many years, and it’s largely thanks to the cool leadership and inspirational form of captain Harrison Pake. (pictured)

This weekend, the team delivered a statement performance, demolishing Kent with a commanding 11–1 victory. The result sealed Hampshire’s place in the final with a league game still to play, a clear testament to the squad’s consistency, depth, and hunger for success.

Pake, who has captained the side for the last 2 seasons, has steered the team with quiet confidence throughout the year. The Challenge League, which serves as an essential part of the wider men’s squad, was originally set up as a “reserves” league (a term we tend to steer away from), but under Harrison's guidance, it's become a thriving platform for development and progression.

This year’s squad has featured a healthy blend of experience and youthful energy, with players from our Under 18's programme stepping up and proving they belong at this level. Their contributions have been vital in securing key wins and building strong momentum, and Pake has been instrumental in giving them the belief and opportunity to shine.

The final beckons once more, and with a game still to play, Hampshire can begin their preparations early – though their opponents are yet to be confirmed. One thing is certain: whoever they face, Harrison and his squad will be ready.

Everyone at Hampshire Golf is incredibly proud of what this team has achieved so far. Three finals in three years is no accident, it’s the result of leadership, talent, and a squad that truly believes in each other.

Congratulations to Harrison and the entire Challenge League team – we’ll be right behind you in the final!
