Position: Golf Volunteer

Location: Various Golf Clubs and Events

About Us: Hampshire Golf is a community-driven organisation committed to promoting and enhancing the game of golf within the region. We're on the lookout for volunteers who share our passion for the sport and want to make a positive impact on the golfing experience of both junior players and the wider golfing community.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Golf Volunteer, you will have the chance to engage in a variety of meaningful tasks that directly contribute to the success of our events and the growth of golf in the region. Your responsibilities may include:

Refereeing and Marshalling: Ensure fair play and uphold the rules of the game by volunteering as a referee during matches and tournaments. Your keen eye for detail will help maintain the integrity of the sport.

Assisting with Coaching: Support our coaching team by assisting in training sessions for junior golfers. Your knowledge and passion for the sport will inspire the next generation of players.

Tournament and Event Support: Get hands-on experience in organising and running golf tournaments and events. Your dedication will help create memorable experiences for participants.

WHS System Support: Utilise your technical skills to help manage the World Handicap System (WHS) for accurate handicapping and equitable competition.

Course Measuring and Rating: Contribute to the accuracy of course measurements and ratings, ensuring a level playing field for all golfers.

Qualifications and Skills:

A keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring fairness in the game.
In-depth knowledge of golf rules and etiquette.
Familiarity with the golf clubs and courses in the Hampshire region.
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
Willingness to work as part of a team and contribute positively to the golfing community.
Technical proficiency for tasks related to the WHS system and course measurement is a plus.
