The Green Jackets Finals Day took place on Sunday 28th July at Hockley Golf Club, bringing to a close another fantastic season of junior golf across Hampshire, The IOW and the Channel Islands.
After months of intense competition in the season-long knockout, four teams made it through to Finals Day: Lee-on-the-Solent GC, La Moye GC, Bramshott Hill GC, and Petersfield GC.
The morning semi-finals saw some tightly contested matches, with Lee-on-the-Solent and La Moye emerging victorious to set up a thrilling final in the afternoon. Lee-on-the-Solent then delivered a blistering display of golf, showing composure and quality under pressure to take home the Green Jackets title for 2025. La Moye, making the trip over from Jersey, battled valiantly throughout the day and secured a well-earned runner-up finish.
Meanwhile, Bramshott Hill and Petersfield faced off in the third-place playoff. After a competitive match, it was Bramshott Hill who edged ahead to claim third spot.
A huge thank you goes to Hockley Golf Club for hosting the day in such fine style, and congratulations to all the players, parents, team managers, and supporters who made this season’s Green Jackets so memorable. The standard of golf on display was a credit to junior golf in our region- we wish Lee-On-The-Solent well as they go on to represent Hampshire in the national finals.
